Beginner's Video Camera Course
This TWO-DAY SKILLSET APPROVED course is designed for production staff starting to shoot video for broadcast. It uses the first, full broadcast, small HD camera – the Canon XF305. Or we can deliver the training specific to your personal camera choice. There are a maximum of six delegates with one full camera and sound kit between two.
Advanced Camera Course
This two-day course is designed for experienced self-shooters who feel ready to take the next steps. Perhaps transferring to a large sensor camera such as the Sony FS7 or Canon C300 for the first time. Or you may wish to improve your shooting skills by using lighting, track or gimbal for the first time. There are a maximum of six delegates with one full camera and sound kit included between two.
Video Journalist Camera Course
This 4-day, SKILLSET APPROVED, video course enables journalists with no previous camera experience to be able to shoot video packages by themselves. During the course there are a number of theory and practical sessions culminating in a self researched and shot film that will be edited for you. A maximum of 6 delegates per course with one camera kit each. Comprehensive manuals are provided at the end of the course.
Video Journalist Shoot and Edit Course
This 5-day, SKILLSET APPROVED, course enables journalists with no previous camera or edit experience to shoot news packages by themselves. During the course there are a number of theory and practical sessions culminating in a self researched, shot and edited news package suitable for broadcast. A maximum of 6 delegates per course with one camera/edit kit each. Comprehensive manuals are provided at the end of the course.
Beginner's Lighting for Video
With the sensitivity of modern cameras and the time pressures on production the technique of lighting interviews is being lost. Badly lit or exposed interviews can destroy all the hard work done in producing a program. This two-day video lighting course will equip camera operators with the skills to use light, enhance interviews and bring the interviewees stories to life. There is a maximum attendance of six delegates with one kit between two.
Bespoke Courses
As a small training provided Camerasmith is able to design and deliver a bespoke training course to your individual company needs and budget. Either in house camera/edit equipment can be used or suitable equipment hired in for the training.
